Light weight and
high strength in itself is contradictory, if you use the same technology to
produce lightweight product, it means sacrificing strength and durability.
X-Bike focuses on lightweight wheels with high
degree of difficulty using top of the line Rohacell PMI foam. This
high-strength structural foam, is a high-cost producer of carbon fiber technology
used in demanding aerospace applications to address the issues of weight and
strength requirements.
Due to the high cost of materials and manufacturing
technology demanding, this technique is rarely used in civilian products. In
the field of bicycle wheels, Mavic lightweight wheels and Corima also used the
same type of PMI Foam. In our rims weight does not mean sacrificing strength and durability degree,
through different structures and techniques can achieve higher strength and
durability.
